What is it with Type A people? How do they get that way and why do the rest of us have to put up with them? Some common characteristics of Type A people include, free-floating hostility or aggressiveness, competitiveness and strong achievement-orientation. This perfectly describes one of my coworkers and, unfortunately, my husband.
These people need to learn to LET IT GO. They will continue to dredge up a topic until everyone else just admits that the Type A’s point of view is the correct one, no matter what. BTW, Type A-ers, everyone else is just saying that so you’ll drop it. Type A people have a need to be the one in the right about everything. Even with really stupid, inconsequential things. They need to hash and re-hash issues until those issues are resolved. I have three words for you: GET OVER IT.
I’m more of a cross between a Type C and D (reference http://www.hiresuccess.com/pplus-3.htm) therefore Type A irritates the crap out of me. Of course, there is probably someone on another computer right now blogging about how Type D people just don’t get it and are too laissez-faire.
